1) Q: How long have you been building handcrafted log homes?
A: Jon Andersen, our founder, has been building homes for more than 23 years. He began building log homes in 1980 near Hwy. 200 in Walker, MN. He was attending Bemidji State University and he peeled logs during the summer and fell in love with log homes. Jon then apprenticed and mastered his trade for seven years and then moved on to form a partnership for three years before founding Andersen Log Homes Company in the fall of 1989.
