Baywood Addition

Baywood Addition has long been anticipated and will provide a larger living area to the home owner’s existing handcrafted log home. The original log home was build in 1990 with the expertise of the home owner who also was the General Contractor and did a lot of finishing work to his log home. Baywood Addition will add 24.8 feet by 27 feet – for 670 square feet and will have a basement with utility room. The log addition will be the master bedroom, bathroom and entryway/foyer to the log home. The addition will be cut and keywayed into the existing log home for settling, and the roof system will be lower than the existing roof. The homeowner will do a lot of the finishing work, which he thoroughly enjoys and is very talented at. We are excited to see how it all comes together!  Construction began on June 9, 2021.  Reassembled July 6, 2022.

The logs are peeled per owner's specs, so it will look like his existing log building.

ALH is building a three sided log addtion that will be attached to the home owner's existing log structure. This wall here will be cut out and be open to the new log addtion.

The drive into the property - the addtion will go right to the left of drive. This is built on a bluff, with a spectacular lake view!

It will be a tight fit working around the existing shed, but doable
