Lifetime Painting and Staining

The Showroom of Lifetime Painting and Staining is now reassembled and in Longville, MN. The size of Lifetime Staining and Painting is 28 feet by 32 feet with a total of 896 square feet. The Showroom has a large covered porch for the entryway with log accents. Inside the spacious showroom there is a large display area for you to check out all the products they carry with along with pre-stained samples. There is a large office, restroom, a kitchenette for the staff and mechanical room. We are excited for the owner’s to be moved into and working out of their new Showroom.  Log Shell started on June 15, 2020 and completed on ALH site on July 17, 2020.  Reassembled on September 16, 2020.

Gary grinds off the notches and any tears while the home is being constucted.

This is the cap log, measurements are taken to center the notch.

7-10-20 9th course going up

Each log is hand peeled with a draw knife.

When the logs arrive in the yard, they are debarked and allowed to dry beforethey are peeled by hand.

7-6-20 Second have of 7th cours is started.

The lateral cut is also called the "Swedish Cope". The top log is scribed to fit the log below it. The lateral opening prevents the log from cracking and checking. Fiberglass insulation is placed in the lateral when it is re-asssembled.

The interlocking V-joint notch is being cut out.

The logs are tamped down to ensure a weather tight seal.
